1715 Fleet – Queens Jewels, LLC was founded in 2010 by William O. Brisben and Brent W. Brisben. Bill is a successful businessman who has been involved in the development, construction and management of real estate for more than 35 years. Bill was the founder of The Brisben Companies, Cincinnati, Ohio, a residential real estate developer, builder and manager which had operations in 20 states prior to transfer of this business in 2004. Bill's companies have developed, built and operated more than 110 multi-family apartment developments with about 18,000 living units and 4,000 single-family lots.
Bill's success in his business endeavors, as well as his ability to work cooperatively, yet decisively, with others, led to his appointment in 2001 by the President to be the United States Representative to the United Nations Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF). Bill served in this role from 2001 until 2009.
Brent Brisben, like Bill, has also spent the majority of his career in the real estate business, having founded San Simeon Homes, a business focused on the purchase, renovation and sale of existing single-family homes. In May of 2010, Brent joined 1715 Fleet Queens Jewels, LLC as Operations Manager and, under his watch, the Company enjoyed a very successful 2010 season.

In 1983 Bill went to work for Mel Fisher in his search for the Spanish Galleon “Nuestra Senora de Atocha”. In 1985, he was part of the discovery and recovery of the Mother Lode of the Atocha. On August 15 1985, Bill made one of the Atocha’s most amazing discoveries, in one hole he found 165 pounds of gold (pictured right). In 1993 he joined the Mel Fisher Center Inc. In 1995 he began creating a system to plot in the most precise and professional manner, all the artifacts recovered from the 1715 Fleet. In 1998 he created the AutoCAD recording and plotting procedures that are currently used by The Florida East Coast Shipwreck Project. Thankfully, Bill decided to join the Queens Jewels team and serves as our Conservator, Cartographer and Archivist.
